Warhammer FEST 2023!
Smaugonite and Croydon spent the day over in Manchester looking at all the cool new things that are coming!
Well, what a day that was.
Queues, queues, queues and... MORE queues.
The event itself was fun to attend, our first Warhammer Fest, and likely our last in all honesty. It was nice to get the exclusive models, but so many things weren't managed well or appropriately proportioned. It would have been such a different experience if there was enough activity space and more control of people in the space.
Overall, an interesting day, old and new friends were met and had a lot of awesome ideas were discussed. On top of all that, there was some EPIC Golden Daemon entries and the Leviathan models are all stunning!

Just as all hope was lost, Smaugonite spotted his old friends from Tabletop Tactics (find them here!). It was great to have a good catch up with them, and it was awesome to hear how they have been getting on since Smaugonite was playing games of 7th Edition Warhammer 40,000 with Chef nearly EVERY DAY.
Overall, Warhammer Fest had a lot of failings, the queues, the mismanagement in areas of the space, and the volume of people. However, seeing old friends, being with Croydon, made the day a good one and one that will be remembered for good reasons.
